Recap: Manteca Buffaloes vs. Edison Vikings
The Manteca Buffaloes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-14 victory over Edison. That looming 61-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Manteca yet this season.
Jada Ikharo was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Ikharo is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Izabella Sanchez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Manteca pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Edison, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-5.
Manteca and Riverbank will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Riverbank has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 322 points over their last five contests. As for Edison, they will head out on the road to face off against Cosumnes Oaks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
