Basketball Game Preview: Tulare Western Mustangs vs. Lemoore Tigers

The Tulare Western Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Lemoore Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tulare Western will be strutting in after a win while Lemoore will be coming in after a defeat.

Tulare Western took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 47-38 victory over Hanford.

Meanwhile, Lemoore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were outmatched by Dinuba and fell 58-22. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1106th, while the Emperors are ranked 187th).

Lemoore's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Tulare Western, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.

Everything came up roses for Tulare Western against Lemoore in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 56-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tulare Western since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
