Basketball Recap: Bayfront Charter Comes Up Short

Bayfront Charter played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 50-4 loss at the hands of the O'Farrell Charter Falcons. The Sharks have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

O'Farrell Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Liona Rusom out in front who went 5-for-12 to rack up 10 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Rusom is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Leshawna Stephens, who posted 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Bayfront Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for O'Farrell Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Bayfront Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-18 win against Chula Vista Learning Community Charter on the 13th. As for O'Farrell Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 48-33 victory against The Cambridge School on the 13th.
