Softball Recap: Wister Victorious

Wister got themselves on the board against Lindsay on Friday, but Lindsay never followed suit. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Leopards. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Leopards, too.

The victory made it two in a row for Wister and bumps their season record up to 2-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Lindsay, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Wister didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Perkins-Tryon on the 15th. As for Lindsay, they will challenge Marietta at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Leopards are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
