The Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 55-30 margin over MMI Preparatory School. Winning may never get old, but Lincoln Leadership Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
When it comes to explaining why MMI Preparatory School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bria Kringe. Despite the final result, she scored 28 points. That was a full 93.3% of MMI Preparatory School's points, marking the 21st time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruhani Shah, who scored two points along with two steals.
Lincoln Leadership Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for MMI Preparatory School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln Leadership Academy will take on Morrisville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Morrisville is coming into the match with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Lincoln Leadership Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for MMI Preparatory School, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Weatherly at 5:15 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully MMI Preparatory School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Wednesday.
