Softball Recap: Chandler Gets the Win

Chandler proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 17) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the McLoud Redskins 1-0. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Redskins, too.

McLoud's batters probably weren't too happy with Kennedy Allen, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (she gave up two walks). Allen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

Chandler was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McLoud only posted a batting average of .000.

Chandler's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for McLoud, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 11-3-1 record.

Coincidentally, Chandler and McLoud will both be playing Prague the next time they take the field. The Redskins will head out to face the Red Devils at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
