Soccer Recap: Pittsburg Takes a Loss

Pittsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Granada Matadors. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by just one goal.

Pittsburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Granada, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-0-3 record this season.

Pittsburg will welcome Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Freedom is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season. Granada has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Foothill on the 9th.
