New Bloomfield is  a perfect 4-0 against Hermann since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will head out to  face off against the Bearcats  at 4:30  p.m. New Bloomfield will be strutting in after a  win while Hermann will be coming in after a  defeat.
Having struggled with five  losses in a row, New Bloomfield  turned things around against Russellville  on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  8-6  victory over the Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Wildcats have posted  since August 30th.
 Rylee Ellsworth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 15 Ks.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Myah Briggs, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in October of 2024.  Delaney Smart also deserves some recognition as  she  scored her first  run of the season.
 New Bloomfield  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in three consecutive  contests.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when Hermann faced off against Wright City on Monday. The Bearcats lost  15-7 to the Wildcats. The Bearcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
  Delilah Nobel was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-4 with one  home run and four  RBI.  Molly Scheer was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  run.
 Hermann's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for New Bloomfield, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8-1.
 New Bloomfield took their  win against Hermann  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024 by a conclusive  17-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
