Softball Game Preview: Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks vs. West Burlington Falcons

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will head out to square off against the West Burlington Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Mid-Prairie and six for West Burlington.

Mid-Prairie came up short against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Thursday, falling 24-5.

Meanwhile, West Burlington lost 17-10 to Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday. Even if the Falcons couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

West Burlington now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Mid-Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-18.

Mid-Prairie might still be hurting after the 10-3 loss they got from West Burlington in their previous meeting back in June of 2023. Can the Golden Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
