Volleyball Recap: St. John Paul II Takes a Loss

St. John Paul II lost against Sparkman back in August of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons fell just short of the Senators by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, St. John Paul II sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 19-25, 16-14.

Their offense was headlined by Mikayla Osaji and Rhyan Holloway, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Elizabeth Rohling and her 18 assists.

St. John Paul II's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sparkman, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

St. John Paul II has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Valor College Prep on the 22nd. Sparkman has also already played their next match (against Southside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
