Softball Recap: Durango Wins Going Away Against Basalt

Durango won the last time they faced Basalt and things went their way on Saturday too. The Demons were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over the Longhorns. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Demons.

Durango got a massive performance out of Alexa Capitan, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Capitan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexis Wood, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Durango's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Basalt, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Durango will face off against Alamosa at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Basalt, they will square off against Grand Junction at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
