Border West were able to grind out a solid victory over the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears on Friday, taking the game 20-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for Border West.

Border West now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Clearbrook-Gonvick, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Border West will square off against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy/Bermel HomeSchool/Peterson HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Border West will need to watch out since Hillcrest Lutheran Academy/Bermel HomeSchool/Peterson HomeSchool has now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Clearbrook-Gonvick, they will face off against Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
