Recap: Lower Moreland Lions vs. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers
The Lower Moreland Lions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 57-37.
Lower Moreland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dani Brusha led the charge by scoring 20 points along with five assists and five steals. The matchup was Brusha's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Santora, who scored nine points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Lower Moreland now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Lower Moreland won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Springfield Township at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Springfield Township presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lower Moreland in Pennsylvania (Springfield Township is ranked 90th, while Lower Moreland is ranked 235th). Our Lady of the Sacred Heart will be home for the holidays to greet MAST Community Charter at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
