Basketball Recap: Moorpark Takes a Loss

Moorpark was the 53-45 winner over Pacifica when they last played one another back in November of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Musketeers were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 51-50 to the Tritons.

Despite the defeat, Moorpark had strong showings from Aubrey Buchanan, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 20 points, and Sam Olivas, who posted 12 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Carissa Smith, who went 5-for-10 en route to 11 points.

Moorpark's record is now 0-2. As for Pacifica, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Moorpark and Pacifica will both be playing Palmdale the next time they take the court. The Musketeers will head out to face the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Tritons will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
