Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Eagles are ranked 807th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Central Valley took a blow against Downey on Saturday, falling 53-19. The contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Central Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Grace Davis, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.
