Baseball Game Preview: Walnut Grove Warriors vs. Madison County Red Raiders

For the second straight game, Walnut Grove will face off against Madison County. Walnut Grove will welcome Madison County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Walnut Grove's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Madison County has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Walnut Grove and Madison County have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. Walnut Grove took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Madison County.

Walnut Grove saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Martell, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Madison County moved to 3-16 with that victory, which also ended their nine-game losing streak. As for Walnut Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
