Softball Recap: Murray County Comes Up Short

Murray County fell victim to Sonoraville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Phoenix. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in August.

Murray County has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Sonoraville, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4.

Murray County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Ringgold on the 22nd. As for Sonoraville, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Union County on the 23rd.
