Baseball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

If Fairfield was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of West Noble on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against the South Bend Adams Eagles on Friday, falling 8-1. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for South Bend Adams, they moved to 6-16 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Fairfield has already played their next matchup, a 6-2 defeat against Bremen on the 23rd. As for South Bend Adams, they will challenge South Bend Riley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
