Volleyball Recap: Pearland Takes a Loss

Pearland was the 2-0 winner over Foster when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Oilers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons on Saturday. The Oilers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tianna Muckelroy paced Pearland's offense, picking up seven kills. Muckelroy got some help from Brelynn Wolford and her 14 assists. Wolford was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pearland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Foster, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Pearland will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sam Rayburn at 5:30 p.m. As for Foster, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Bend Clements at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
