Softball Recap: Glasgow Beats Tina-Avalon for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Glasgow waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Tina-Avalon Dragons. The Yellowjackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dragons, too.

Brooklynn Morris was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kenley Strodtman was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Riley Olendorff, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Glasgow kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Glasgow's record now sits at 8-3. As for Tina-Avalon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glasgow will square off against Fayette at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Tina-Avalon, they will face off against Pattonsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
