Fort Sumner/House is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Menaul a 50-0 shutout. Fort Sumner/House hasn't had any issues with Menaul recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Fort Sumner/House's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Holland, who threw for 221 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a pair of touchdowns on the ground. Holland has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times he's played. Jalen Shaw also helped with two scores in total.

Meanwhile, Mesilla Valley Christian School faced Escalante in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The SonBlazers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lobos 42-8.

Fort Sumner/House's record is now 9-0. As for Mesilla Valley Christian School, their record now sits at 7-2.
