Alexander has gone a perfect 6-0 against Rome recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cougars will head out to square off against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
If Alexander beats Rome with 16 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Cougars put the hurt on Kennesaw Mountain with a sharp 16-4 victory on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Ebbie Simmons made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Simmons was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Alexander got a massive performance out of Kenzie Townsend, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Townsend a new career-high. Lulu Berry was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Alexander always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennesaw Mountain only posted an OBP of .381.
Meanwhile, Rome beat Coosa 10-5 on Thursday.
Reese Torimoto was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Landsdell, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Rome's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Alexander, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
Alexander took their victory against Rome in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
