Basketball Recap: Mount Pisgah Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mount Pisgah Academy's game on Thursday was all tied up 27-27 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders by a score of 63-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (57), the Mountaineers still had to take the loss.

Logan Hughes produced another solid effort going 10-for-18 on his way to 22 points and three steals for Bethel Christian Academy. Jacob Smith also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Mount Pisgah Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only two points. As for Bethel Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mount Pisgah Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Williams Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
