Basketball Recap: Mount Pisgah Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

While it was all tied up 27-27 at halftime, Mount Pisgah Academy was not quite Bethel Christian Academy's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 63-61. That's two games in a row now that the Mountaineers have lost by exactly two points.

Despite the loss, Mount Pisgah Academy still got an impressive performance from Trey McCalla, who went 10-for-19 to rack up 26 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Ben Jetter was another key player, putting up 17 points.

It was another big night for Logan Hughes, who shot 56% from the field en route to 22 points and three steals for Bethel Christian Academy. Another player making a difference was Aiden Phillips, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 18 points and five boards.

Mount Pisgah Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bethel Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Mount Pisgah Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-14 win against Williams Academy on the 21st.
