Basketball Game Preview: Chaffey Tigers vs. Chino Cowboys

Chaffey hasn't had much luck against Chino recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Chaffey Tigers will host the Chino Cowboys at 6:30 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chaffey challenged Ontario on Monday. Chaffey fell 50-37 to Ontario.

Meanwhile, Chino came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Cavaliers to the tune of 54-18. With the Cowboys ahead 33-4 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Chino pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Chaffey, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Chaffey took a serious blow against Chino when the teams last played on January 10th, falling 62-22. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Chino's Zhya Holyfield, who dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 11 boards, and ten steals.
