Soccer Recap: Santa Ana Valley Comes Up Short

Santa Ana Valley entered their contest against Century on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Santa Ana Valley Falcons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Century Centurions. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Falcons couldn't quite close it out.

Having lost for the first time this season, Santa Ana Valley fell to 3-1-2. As for Century, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Santa Ana Valley duke it out with the South El Monte at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Santa Ana Valley's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so South El Monte's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Century, they will take on St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy in a tournament on Saturday.
