Basketball Recap: West Wolfpack vs. Lincoln Trojans
After soaring to 61 points the game before, West was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Lincoln Trojans, falling 63-18. The Wolfpack were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.
West's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karla Leon, who posted four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaliyah Byrd, who earned five points and six rebounds.
Lincoln got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Baquiran out in front who went 5 of 9 on her way to 13 points and four steals. Baquiran is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Touraya Blakey, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds.
