Basketball Recap: Trinity Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Trinity had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against the Modoc Braves by a score of 47-39. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Braves two weeks ago, they had to take a 47-35 defeat.

Trinity's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kloe Kist, who posted 15 points in addition to six boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Carpenter, who went 5 for 7 to rack up 10 points and six rebounds.

Kist wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Trinity was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Jordyn Sandage and Allie Weber certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Sandage scored 12 points along with five boards and three steals, while Weber went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points and three steals. What's more, Weber also posted a 63% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Katie Erquiaga was another key player, putting up nine rebounds, three steals, and three blocks.

Trinity pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Modoc, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7.

Trinity didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-47 defeat against St. Bernard's on the 1st. Modoc has also already played their next matchup (against Etna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
