Basketball Recap: Lincoln Mcfadden Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

Loveland Classical won the last time they faced Liberty Tree Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions came out on top against the War Eagles by a score of 60-53.

Loveland Classical's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lincoln McFadden, who shot 43% from the field en route to 14 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks. McFadden is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Sean Schaut was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 11 points and four steals.

Loveland Classical was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They racked up six more assists than Liberty Tree Academy's also-impressive total of 12.

Several War Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaydence Smith, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Michael Coleman, who scored nine points and six boards.

Loveland Classical's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Liberty Tree Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Loveland Classical wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-47 win against STEM School Highlands Ranch on the 6th. As for Liberty Tree Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-41 victory against Ascent Classical Academy on the 6th.
