Woodside and Sequoia are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long. The Woodside Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Sequoia Ravens at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodside's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Woodside took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Menlo-Atherton, sneaking past 2-1.

Mariam Yusuf was the driving force of Woodside's attack as she scored both of Woodside's goals, bringing her season total up to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Sequoia managed to keep up with Aragon until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Sequoia came up short against Aragon, falling 3-0. The Ravens' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Sequoia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Woodside, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Woodside beat Sequoia by a goal when the teams last played back in January, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodside since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
