Basketball Recap: Westview Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

If Del Norte wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Westview, they should've done a better job of containing Mia Jacobson. The Westview Wolverines claimed a resounding 70-33 win over the Del Norte Nighthawks thanks in part to Jacobson, who went 12 of 17 on her way to 26 points and seven rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

Sarah Youssef was another key player, putting up nine points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Despite the defeat, Del Norte saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jayden Asante posted nine points.

Westview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Del Norte, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
