After a string of 11 wins, the San Domenico Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They received a tough blow as they fell 56-42 to Pinewood. While losing is never fun, San Domenico can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Panthers are ranked 30th).

Facelo is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jolyn Ding, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

San Domenico's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-9. As for Pinewood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

San Domenico does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pinewood won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. The timing isn't great for Notre Dame: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Panthers have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
