Kinsley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Macksville Mustangs to the tune of 54-6. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Coyotes had established a 24-point advantage.

Kinsley found their leader in sophomore Josh Stuckey, who rushed for 296 yards and seven TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 59 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Stuckey didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack, made nine total tackles, and defended two passes.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Kinsley proved: they limited Macksville to a paltry 2.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Brady Kraft for the heroic effort on defense: he. Kinsley didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.5.

Kinsley's defense also made the game a nightmare for the opposing QB, racking up eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Gerardo Seanez and Kraft, who racked up five sacks between them.

Macksville is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Kinsley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 64-14 victory against St. John on the 19th. As for Macksville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-0 defeat against Ness City on the 19th.
