Geffen Academy extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Ciahna M. The Geffen Academy Bruins walked away with a 37-29 victory over the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves on Saturday thanks in part to M, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Geffen Academy's points.

When it comes to explaining why Wiseburn- Da Vinci lost, don't look at Kayla Muhammad-Flissinger. Despite the final result, she posted eight points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Muhammad-Flissinger a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ashley Sutton, who scored five points and three steals.

Geffen Academy's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Geffen Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-34 victory against California Academy of Math & Science on the 27th. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-31 loss against Palos Verdes on the 28th.
