Football Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus lost against Frontenac back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans had to suffer through a 41-14 loss at the hands of the Raiders. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

When it comes to explaining why Columbus lost, don't look at Jayden Rodriguez. Despite the final result, he picked up 145 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Rodriguez really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 76 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Columbus and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Frontenac, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Columbus will head out to face off against Parsons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Frontenac, they will venture away from home to challenge Neodesha at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Streaks' defense has only allowed 14.9 points per game this season, so the Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
