Recap: Elsinore Tigers vs. Upland Highlanders/Scots
The Elsinore Tigers lost against the Upland Highlanders/Scots back in December of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Elsinore fell just short of Upland by a score of 37-34.
Elsinore lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Miranda Garcia, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That's the first time this season that Garcia pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashirah Williams, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Elsinore has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Upland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elsinore will take on Hemet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hemet is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. As for Upland, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Workman at 12:30 p.m.
