Softball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

Elgin blew Bethel out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Bethel got their revenge. The Owls fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Owls have suffered since September 23, 2024.

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bethel, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Elgin will challenge Bartlesville at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bethel, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Morris at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th.
