Latino College Preparatory Academy came into Friday's game looking for another win against Apostles Lutheran, but Emily Zimmerman wouldn't allow it. The Falcons secured a 21-16 W over the Golden Eagles on Friday with plenty of help from Zimmerman, who posted six points along with 12 boards and seven steals. Zimmerman is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Latino College Preparatory Academy still got an impressive performance from Tanya Loya, who had no points and six steals.

The win made it two in a row for Apostles Lutheran and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 39 points in those games. As for Latino College Preparatory Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Apostles Lutheran and Latino College Preparatory Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Falcons see the court they'll take on Averroes at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2026. As for Latino College Preparatory Academy, their break will end when they face Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit on January 13, 2026.
