Basketball Game Preview: Great Oak Wolfpack vs. Chaparral Pumas

Great Oak and Chaparral are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Great Oak Wolfpack will head out to square off against the Chaparral Pumas at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Great Oak is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Vista Murrieta just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Chaparral's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 68-57 to Temecula Valley.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Great Oak, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-13.

Great Oak strolled past Chaparral when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 55-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Great Oak since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
