Football Recap: Mt. Pleasant's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Mt. Pleasant and West Delaware squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Mt. Pleasant had to settle for second. They took a 28-14 bruising from the Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Hawks are ranked 13th).

Mt. Pleasant's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-3. As for West Delaware, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Mt. Pleasant nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
