It was a good run, but Twin Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 50-43 to the Cedar Crest Falcons. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Raiders came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Falcons are ranked 272nd).

Twin Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Olivia Schmittinger, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Ellie Kaplan, who put up nine points.

Twin Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Cedar Crest, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Twin Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-32 victory against Elizabethtown on the 28th. As for Cedar Crest, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Manheim Township at 7:30 p.m. on January 8th.
