Softball Recap: Lambert Has No Trouble Against Sequoyah

Lambert had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Sequoyah Chiefs with a sharp 13-5 victory on Saturday.

Avery Cole was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Katia Castillo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Lambert is headed away from home for the first time to take on Dawson County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sequoyah, they will take on Harrison at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
