Softball Recap: Affton Takes a Loss

Affton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Mehlville Panthers, falling 18-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-4 back in September.

Affton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aleigha Meyers, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Anna Flowers also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Affton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Mehlville, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Coming up, Affton will square off against Hancock at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mehlville, they will host Cor Jesu Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
