Marina came tearing into Wednesday's contest with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Gonzales Spartans 59-33. The Mariners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Leading Marina to victory were Shekinah Williams and Mia Martin. Williams dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards, while Martin posted 17 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Williams' evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Bianca Borja was another key player, putting up ten points.

Marina's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.1 points over those games. As for Gonzales, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
