Soccer Game Preview: Goddard vs. Lovington + Official Tickets

Goddard hasn't had much luck against Lovington recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rockets will face off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.

Goddard is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals last Thursday, they were much more limited against Artesia on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Goddard couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Josh Hester, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lovington). They blew past Portales 10-0 on Tuesday. Lovington haven't had any issues with Portales recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Goddard's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Lovington, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
