Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Towne Warriors vs. Science Leadership Academy

The Franklin Towne Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against Science Leadership Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Franklin Towne has three straight wins, Science Leadership Academy has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Franklin Towne is undefeated when Ryzinski posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Robert Brant was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Franklin Towne kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Science Leadership Academy lost 16-2 to Philadelphia Academy Charter on Monday.

Franklin Towne's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Science Leadership Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Science Leadership Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Franklin Towne hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. It's a different story for Science Leadership Academy, though, as they've only averaged .204. Will they be able to contain Franklin Towne's hitters?

Franklin Towne took their win against Science Leadership Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 22-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
