Baseball Recap: Appleton West Terrors vs. Oshkosh North Spartans
Appleton West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oshkosh North Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-5 back in April.
Appleton West got a good showing from Quintynn Grych, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Appleton West saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Malnar, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Appleton West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Oshkosh North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12.
