Baseball Recap: Hilltop Lancers vs. Steele Canyon Cougars
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hilltop had no problem doing just that on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Steele Canyon Cougars 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Lancers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Sebastian Luevano was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Hilltop: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-16 otherwise. Alexandro Cardenas was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
