Softball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Columbus's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Calvary Christian Knights on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in August.

This is the second loss in a row for Columbus and nudges their season record down to 8-9. As for Calvary Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus will square off against Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian, they will challenge Westfield School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
