Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-3 to the Cass Colonels. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Colonels from their previous meeting back in October of 2022.

Mariah Walker was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Nyla Henson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cass, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Chapel Hill will be taking part in a tournament against Temple at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cass, they will square off against Hart County at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
